BIOGRAPHY

Born and raised here in the New River Valley, I can honestly say I am a country girl at heart.  As with most people from this beautiful part of Virginia, I enjoy being outside whether activities include hiking, fishing, cooking out with the family and friends, or playing sports.  One thing that my entire family has in common is our passion for sports; I really think I learned to throw a ball before I learned my ABC’s. 

Sports that I have been a participant in include softball, track and field, and basketball.   My love for softball has carried through my college years as I am a member of the Radford University Softball team.  My love for sports doesn’t just include those sports that I participate in.  For the past few years I have taken an annual trip in the summer where I travel to several cities that are home to a Major League Baseball team. 

When planning my future endeavors it was hard to think of something that would interest me because everything revolved around sports.   As a way to keep sports a part of my life when my playing days are over I plan to coach. 

My major in Sport Administration and minor in Marketing will provide me with the administrative knowledge I that I will need in order fulfill my dream of being a collegiate softball coach.  I also get coaching experience by helping with youth softball clinics as well as giving personal lessons.
